The Hat Factory (Luton, UK)
Undertaken as part of the Junction Exports portfolio of consultancies, Paul Bogen led this contract for Luton Borough Council with Sandy Fitzgerald as outside advisor. This large centre in the heart of Luton was originally named Artezium and had gone out of business in the late 1990’s. Following this consultancy, the centre reopened in 2004 as The Hat Factory, following a detailed investigation and the production of a comprehensive operational and business plan by Paul and Sandy. This plan was adopted by Luton City Council and the centre has gone from strength to strength since reopening.

Trans Europe Halles
Following research of the sector, OLIVEARTE undertook the delivery of a pilot consultancy and training programme in 2008 for this European network of independent cultural centres. This programme consisted of intensive training modules in all aspects of managing cultural centres and consultancy assistance for four cultural centres (OZU and Interzone in Italy, Stanica, Slovacia, and Perkana, Slovenia).

Delivery of an intensive training module in strategic planning for the team at Dance Agency TsEKh.

Design and implementation of financial systems, monitoring and accounting software.

Beat Initiative (Belfast, Northern Ireland)
Ongoing consultancy around the Beat’s ambitious plans to create a carnival arts centre for Ireland in Belfast including a capital programme and business plan.

Korjaamo Cultual Factory (Helsinki, Finland)
Ongoing consultancy, which provides a range of strategic planning advice to this newly opened centre in Helsinki covering everything from staffing, to finance and marketing.
